Sports Art/Sportraits

SPORTRAITS -Sports Art or better known as Sportraits is a growing art form capturing the memories of athletes in action, available in pencil, watercolor or oil. Very popular with parents and grandparents, they are an excellent gift for any athlete – young or old.  An ideal way for a tournament director or coach to honor an athlete for achievements on or off the field (MVP, Sportsmanship, Most Improved, Leadership, etc.). Why Sports Art is our specialty

I have briefly played professionally in Greece and upon coming to the US, I started coaching for LYSA (Lexington Youth Soccer Association). After coaching for LYSA, I started coaching at Sayre High School, where I coached the men’s team for 11 years. During that time I got my coaching license from USSF (United States Soccer Federation) and the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America). I have been at Berea College for the last 6 years where I have coached the women’s team. For the last 13 years, I have also been a select coach for LFC, coaching different teams and age groups, participating in, and winning several tournaments.

Available in pencil, watercolor or oils. Again, I work from photos which I prefer to take myself. If an actual game situation is not possible, it is simulated by having the athlete dress in their uniform and go to a court or a field. The athlete then either dribbles, shoots, serves, or whatever the characteristic action of the sport may be.

Sportraits are a very popular gift from grandparents and parents to their young, upcoming superstars. Coaches and tournament directors present them when they want to honor an athlete for their outstanding play. A very special, unique and personalized gift that is treasured by the recipient.
